Stop Hiding, Stand Up And Focus on The Brighter Side
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate but we should stop hiding. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson
My Fear of Failure
One of the things that held me and many other people back from pursuing our dreams for many years was fear of failure … and the lack of self-confidence needed to overcome that fear.
It’s something very common to us and we all face this kind of issue, to some degree.
How Do You Overcome Your Fear?
I still have those fears, undoubtedly. But now I know that I can do something to defeat those fears, that I can break through that wall of insecurities and come out on the other side. I’ve done it many times now, and that triumph will fuel further victory.
Many of the things I tell you will make you feel better about yourself and actually help you build self-confidence. However, you have to take time out for your own plans and dreams. You have to understand that doing things another way than most other people and generally not necessarily “fitting in” can be quite hard with a low self-confidence.
Love, no one can ever make you feel confident but yourself!
